Willie Mae Poole was born in Baker County on January 10, 1916 to the late Martha and Johnny Davis.
She transitioned to the home that God prepared for her on September 14, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
She was a devoted mother, and dedicated her life to rearing and nurturing her family. She was a strong-willed, independent and hardworking woman that dedicated her life to serving Christ. Willie Mae confessed her love for Christ at an early age. She joined First Bethesda Baptist Church where she was actively involved in the life of the church where she served as a dedicated choir member.
She was preceded in death by three children, Annette Hunter, King David Alford, and Marthell Alford King.
she leaves to carry her legacy her surviving children, Anne Davis (Darryl) of Atlanta, Georgia and Joe Poole of Albany, Georgia, Ten grandchildren, Twenty-eight great-grandchildren, Thirty-five great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
