Mrs. Natalia T. Carter was born December 8, 1929, to the late Plumpton and Edna
Turner in Dawson, Terrell County, Georgia. She peacefully departed this life on
February 20, 2021. She received her childhood education in the Terrell County
School System and attended Albany State College and the University of Georgia.
She was a retired educator.
She leaves three loving brothers Dr. Otis Turner (Patsy) of Jacksonville, FL, Joe
Jones (Ann) of Dawson, GA, and Britt Crawford of Dawson, GA; one sister,
Gloria Clark of Philadelphia, PA, A
very special
sister-in-law, Annie Mae Turner
of Albany, GA; One sister preceded her in death, Vera Williams; Three brothers
preceded her in death, Eddie Turner, Johnny Turner, and Ernest Turner.
She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Dennis Carter Sr. who preceded her in
death. They are the proud parents of eight children: Mary Porter (Milas) of
Albany, GA, Dennis Carter Jr. (Deborah) of Albany, GA, Helen Markland
(preceded her in death), Douglas Carter (Faye) of Albany, GA, Barbara Carter of
Albany, GA, Johnny Carter (Elaine) of Columbia, SC, Samuel Carter (Tashanda)
of Albany, GA, and Alice Carter of Albany, GA.
She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the I Hope
Missionary Baptist Church. After that, she became a faithful Shiloh Missionary
Baptist Church member, where she was a Missionary in every capacity. She was
inspiring and encouraging.
She leaves a legacy of love to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, brothers, sister-in-law, cousins, and friends.
