Sister Gladys Marie Thomas (Denson),was the daughter of the late Maxine and Arthur Thomas, Sr. She was born in Leary, Georgia on March 15, 1957.
She was a lady that loved God, her family, her classmates, and people in general. She was a giver to heart, and she also taught her children that it is better to give than to receive. She was a devoted church member, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She gave her heart and her talents to God and so many people, and she enjoyed every moment of it.
She was educated at Anderson Elementary in Leary, Ga. She graduated from Calhoun County High School in Edison, Ga in 1975. She graduated from Kaplan University with her Associates Degree in Early Childhood. She worked in the Calhoun County School System for over 28 years as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional. She really enjoyed teaching and children.
She confessed Christ as her Savior in her teenage years and was baptized at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with her mom, Maxine Thomas. She later moved her membership to New Point Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in the choir and other areas that was needed. She later became an ordained Missionary at New Hope Outreach Ministry. She became a faithful member at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, lead devotion, and whatever was needed, she volunteered to get it done. Gladys Marie Thomas (Denson), loved God. He was first in everything she did. She loved her family, and taught us how to love, trust, and know God.
On July 11, 2018, God called her home to come sing and dance with him forever. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Maxine Thomas Goodman.
