On Tuesday afternoon, August 23, 2016, Mrs. Anna Lou Thompson, who was loved by many, passed on to a new life.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Pelham, Georgia (Mitchell County) to the late Fellom and Mary Francis Alexander, on April 23, 1932. She was educated in the Mitchell County School System. She later relocated to Albany, Georgia. After completing high school Anna attended college in Savannah, Georgia before transferring to Albany State University.
On June 2, 1951, Anna was joined in Holy matrimony to the late Johnnie Lee Davis of Albany, Georgia. Through this union three children were born. One child, Emery Lee Davis, preceded her in death. Later in life she met and married the late Arthur Frank Thompson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Anna loved cooking and the love of family; most of all, she loved the Lord.
