Bernice Walker Ellis departed this life at 9:00 on April 19, 2026. Bernice Walker Ellis was born in Randolph County to the lovely Sallie Fulton Walker on July 22, 1949.

Everyone who knew Bernice Ellis knew the love she had for her beloved husband, William C. Ellis Jr, whom she married on June 1, 1968. Bernice was accepted Christ and joined the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia in 1969. There she was ordained to the Deaconess Board in 1982. Bernice spent the time serving on the Deaconess Board at Power Chapel Baptist Church in Sumner, Georgia.

Preceding her in death was her husband, William C Ellis Jr.; Sallie Fulton Walker (mother); Josie Ashe, Molly Tolbert, and Ethel B. Walker Cooper(sister). She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Nakia N. Ellis of Albany, Georgia. Three sons, Reginal B. Ellis of Albany, Georgia, Gregory A. Ellis, Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Curtis L. Ellis (Patricia) of Atlanta, Georgia. Two sisters, Rebecca Hall and Sarah French, One brother, Roberto Hudson. Eleven grandchildren: Zaybrien Jones, Arsenio Jones-Ellis, Kiara Ellis, Breland Ellis, Kayin Briathwate-Ellis, Bre’Anna Ellis, Kadedra Ellis, Kirkland Ellis, Devontae Jones, Shaqayla Jones (Thompson), Zoe Olivia Ellis, host of great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives and friends.
