Mr. George Bobby Bigelow was born on July 7, 1940 to the late Mr. Charlie and Susie Lee Bigelow in Mitchell County. He was educated in the Mitchell County School System.
In 1976, He found his soulmate, Deborah King.
George accepted Christ as His Lord Savior very early in life. He was baptized and received the right hand of fellowship into the body of Christ at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
As a Soulmate, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, George was a diligent in caring for his family. For many years, he worked untiringly as a Heavy Equipment operator at Morey Farms until his retirement.
George was straight-forward, genuine, unchanging, and jovial. He was a kind man with a big heart. He truly lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends, neighbors, co-workers, and loved spending time with his family.
On Saturday, May 18, 2019, He departed this earthly life at his residence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings: Charlie Bigelow, Grace Bigelow, Lee Bigelow, Pete Bigelow, Sara Bigelow and one granddaughter Fatisha Clark.
Precious memories will be forever cherished by his loving special friend, Deborah King. Five Sons: George Bigelow and Johnny (Margaret) Downs all of Moultrie, Ga. John Otis (Pamela) Bigelow, Tony (Cherelle) Bigelow, all of Columbus, Ga. Randy (Chelle) Downs of Albany, Ga.
Six Daughters: Bobby Jean (Alfred) Smith, Joe Ann (Stevie) Daniels of Moultrie, Ga. Sherry (John) Crenshaw of Texas, Mandy (Charlie) Young of Albany, Ga. Latricia (Donnell) Bussey of Augusta, Ga. and Rachel King of Atlanta, Ga. Seven Siblings: Brother and Six Sisters, Ace Bigelow, Hattie Hey, Mamie B. Mitchell all of Albany, Ga., Lillie Mae Bigelow, Inez Dennard, and Vinnie Dennard all of Baconton, Ga. He had 37 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
