Mr. Arthur Williams III

Arthur Lee Williams Jr. was born on February 16, 1961 and raised in Calhoun County (Leary) Georgia to the late Arthur Lee Williams Sr. and Nancy Jane Reed-Williams.

Arthur accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and became a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church and later moved his membership to Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Arthur took pleasure in working, spending time with family and making a difference in other’s lives.

He departed his earthly life on February 11, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee Williams Sr and Nancy Jane Reed-Williams, two sisters, Sandra Ponder and Joanne Williams.

He leaves to cherish three children, Samantha Nix, Rakeem Nix, and Moesha Williams, Three stepchildren, Tasheria Nix, Shykem Nix, and Benjamin Mott, Seven sisters, Queen Grimsley (Bobby), Shirley Williams, Mary Williams (David), Chrilon Daniels (Richmond), Gloria Williams, Daisy Williams (Stanley) and Mary Barkley (Norman, two brothers, Arthur Jones (Deborah) and Dennis Williams (Angie), five grandchildren, twenty-two nieces and nephews, the mothers of his children, Samantha Nix, Rosetta Mott, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
