Mr. Raymond Simmons Sr.

Raymond Simmons Sr. was born July 27, 1952 to the late Annie Lee Moore & Ike Houston in Camilla, Georgia.

Raymond attended Monroe High School. He spent most of his adult life working in construction with many different companies in Albany, Georgia and Tampa, Florida.

Raymond recommitted himself to Christ and was baptized on 8/23/2003 at Bible Way Baptist Church with Reverend Sammy Pringle Raymond departed this life on Friday, October 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving wife, Janice Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his mother Annie Lee Moore, granddaughter Destiny Simmons, aunt Margaret Moore, uncle Booker T. Simmons, uncle Clinton Simmons and other uncles and aunts.

Raymond leaves to carry on his legacy: his children, Raymond (Demetria) Simmons Jr., Tracy (Antonio) Atkins and Darryl Simmons; grandchildren Cameron Goldsmith, Raven Simmons, Darryl Simmons Jr., Treyce Simmons, Sonteria Goude, Caron Goude, and Devantae Simmons; two great grandchildren; siblings Bearnice Houston, Janie Moore, Earnestine Moore, Gloria Moore, Eva Lee Moore, David Moore, Curtis Moore, Donald Moore and Square Moore; aunts Mattie Jones, Odessa Reynolds, and Ozzie Mae Wimes; brother/cousin Frank Jones and sister/cousin Jenny Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters in law and brothers in law.
